Ethereal started working on debut album
Star producer Joost van Broek joins Ethereal in the studio
Ethereal seems to have been a little quiet recently, but nothing less is true. Last month, we have started recording our debut album! We hit the studio with well-known Dutch producer Joost van den Broek (Stream Of Passion, Ayreon, ReVamp), working on eight brand new songs!
The drums have been laid down in the famous Sandlane studios and as we speak, Uri and Joost are working on the keys. This is an immense and exciting project, recording songs we only wrote a couple of months ago, which have never been heard by anyone. But we lov ...
Better late than never! Another review on "Lunacy Falls"
This time Metalfan.nl has written an review on "Lunacy Falls".
"Ethereal wist in december 2010 het onmogelijke voor elkaar te krijgen: als allereerste metalband ooit won het de Grote Prijs van Nederland. Daarnaast mocht toetsenist Uri Dijk, tevens actief in Textures, toen ook nog eens de muzikantenprijs mee naar huis nemen. Dit brengt natuurlijk torenhoge verwachtingen met zich mee voor hun tweede EP: Lunacy Falls. Ondanks deze al in februari dit jaar het levenslicht zag, mag deze uiteraard niet onopgemerkt voorbij gaan.

Finally a new website
Welcome to the new official homepage of ETHEREAL! A lot has been going on lately. Most importantly, we have been working on new songs for our upcoming debut album. Six songs have been written and are in pre-production, they are awesome! We will continue writing a few more, and then in November 2011 we will hit the studio! Production will be done by the legendary Joost van den Broek (After Forever), in collaboration with our keyboard player Uri. If everything goes well, we will release the album early 2012. Psyched!
But before that, we have some great shows ahead of us. As Uri will be doing a lot touring with Textures in the coming months, we will play some of these (all September shows and 013) with our good friend Erik van It ...
